I was in my backyard and saw this dragonfly. Of course I immediately wanted to take some shots but the second I approached it, it flew off! Which in my case has always been the experience. A few minutes later he decided to come back and displayed a healthy serving of "Trust". I was mere centimeters away from him, but he just sat there and allowed me to take quite a few shots. It was great! I did it in black and white because I liked the way it emphasized the pattern of its wings.

You know I used to catch these when I was little. It was great fun man! We also named the Needle-Case, as we thought they had needles in their elongated rear-ends. Your pic brings back fun childhood memories. kool.
